CYLINDER -

HEMINGWAY INSPIRED

MIXOLOGY KIT

PACKAGING DESIGN

SKETCHES

A morning mixology kit, Hemingway drink kit and a Scott F. Fitzgerald mixology kit were the three initial ideas for the tall, round cylinder. Thinking about the seam, top and round design are what drove the original sketches.

THUMBNAILS

The spacing of things, user handling and readability were very important to the design of the cylinder and the Hemingway Mixology kit accomplished all of these elements the most.

Color Studies

Taking color from Hemingway’s novels and keeping the drinks in mind had a lot to do with the color and it was very hard to choose the best one. In the end the dark green was thought to give the most “upscale” look I was going for.

FINAL

Type became the most important part of this mixology kit, in having the description, recipes and famous Hemingway quotes, it was a lot of time deep in the cop but then again Hemingway was all about the writing himself…
